Disclaimer
Please read this before relying on OBBBAcheck results for financial decisions.
Estimates only
All calculations on OBBBAcheck are estimates for informational purposes. Your actual tax savings depend on your complete tax picture — filing status, total income, deductions, credits, and other factors our calculator cannot know. Results do not constitute a guarantee of tax savings.
Not tax or legal advice
OBBBAcheck is an educational tool, not a tax preparation service. Nothing on this site is legal advice, tax advice, or financial planning advice. Consult a licensed CPA, enrolled agent, or tax attorney before making decisions based on these estimates.
Not affiliated with the IRS or government
OBBBAcheck is an independent website. We are not the IRS, the U.S. Treasury, or any government agency. We do not process tax returns, represent taxpayers, or have access to your official tax records.
Tax laws change
The OBBBA tip and overtime deductions are scheduled to expire after tax year 2028. Congress may extend, modify, or repeal these provisions. State conformity statuses change as state legislatures act. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information current but cannot guarantee it reflects the most recent developments.
State rates are estimates
State income tax calculations use an approximate marginal rate for each state. Most states use graduated brackets; your actual state marginal rate depends on your total taxable income. The state calculation is a rough estimate — use your state's tax tables for precise figures.
FICA taxes always apply
The OBBBA does not reduce Social Security or Medicare (FICA) taxes. We display these clearly in your results. Do not rely on any calculator — including ours — that implies FICA is eliminated or reduced under the OBBBA.
